Monday Club Nights
Every Monday, excluding Bank Holidays, members meet at Stone Cross Memorial Hall just opposite the Red Lion Pub. The club room is open from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Everyone is welcome and it’s a great way to get to know other members and chat about what you’ve been up to on and off the bike.
There is tea and coffee on offer and some of the more adventurous members may decamp to the Red Lion for a swift pint afterwards. There are activities throughout the year including a Monday night Ride with Rovers during the summer months and Turbo Training during the winter months. If you are new to the club why not pop down and introduce yourself – you’d be very welcome.
Monday Night Turbo Training
Turbo Training is held at the club room on Monday nights during the winter months generally from November through to March. The sessions are from 8:00pm to 9:00pm with set up at 7:30pm.
Our Chairman, Peter Moon leads the group with a structured program which gradually ramps up over the weeks. The majority use turbo trainers but the sessions can also be undertaken on rollers if you prefer. They are a good workout and have proved very popular, often attracting members from other clubs who pay £2 for the pleasure!
